Bianca Hernandez, LPC

 Hi everybody!  I view therapy as a space for processing life experiences, emotions, thoughts and trauma in order to get to your desired outcome. I believe that some of the issues we face are rooted in family and generational trauma. By healing some of these generational patterns we can work towards prevention of certain patterns from continuing, resolve unhealthy existing patterns and works towards a place of thriving. 

 I provide therapy in Spanish & English and I specialize in working with children as young as age 4 (I love the kids!!!).  and have extensive experience working in preschools, youth centers and intensive clinical youth programs. I also work with young adults processing through issues of self (self-esteem, self-worth, and self-awareness), emotional dysregulation, dating, issues in friendships and family of origin issues.  As a therapist, I operate from a holistic approach considering all factors of life (family and home life, social environment, physiology, and spirituality). I incorporate a mix of existentialism and Gestalt theories which allow me to cater treatment to the needs of the individual, dive into self-awareness and the role of self in establishing identity, meaningful relationship and having a balance between freedom and responsibility. With children I incorporate play, games, and creativity to reach desired outcomes.   

Therapy with me is thought provoking, innovative, warm, and transparent. I am a naturally adventurous person and that is also what you can expect from therapy with me. We will be safely strapped in, for on our adventurous healing journey the road will get bumpy, we will have to take some risks, we will have to be brave as tears will be shed and emotions will be heightened, but the view at the end will be very much worth it and I will be here with you every step of the way.
