Founder. Visionary. Community activist

Chante Woods, LCSW

Healing is not about becoming someone new. It is about returning to yourself.

I believe many of us have spent years surviving systems, relationships, and expectations that required us to abandon parts of ourselves just to be accepted, successful, or safe.

Therapy offers an opportunity to slow down, reconnect with who you are beneath those survival strategies, and intentionally choose how you want to move through the world.

My approach to therapy is deeply relational, liberation-focused, trauma-informed, and rooted in the belief that our emotional struggles cannot be understood outside of the families, cultures, communities, and systems that have shaped us. Together, we explore not only what is happening in your life, but why your nervous system learned to respond the way it has and what healing can look like moving forward.

I have a special passion for working with high-achieving professionals who appear to have it all together while quietly carrying the weight of everyone and everything around them. Many of my clients are leaders, entrepreneurs, executives, helping professionals, physicians, attorneys, educators, and fellow therapists who have become experts at solving problems for others while losing connection with themselves. If you are constantly performing, producing, fixing, leading, or holding everyone else together, therapy can become the one place where you no longer have to.

As a business owner myself, I understand the unique emotional demands that come with leadership. The pressure to make difficult decisions, care for others, navigate uncertainty, and continue showing up regardless of what is happening personally can be incredibly isolating. My goal is to create a space where you do not have to perform competence—you simply get to be human.

I also deeply value my work with Black men. Too often, Black men are expected to carry extraordinary burdens with very little room to experience vulnerability, grief, tenderness, or emotional complexity. I strive to create a therapeutic relationship where Black men feel genuinely seen—not as stereotypes, problems to solve, or emotional projects, but as whole human beings deserving of care, rest, healing, and authenticity.

While my work is grounded in evidence-based practices, I do not believe healing happens through techniques alone. Healing happens within relationship. My style is warm, conversational, collaborative, and challenging when needed. I integrate family systems theory, attachment theory, trauma-informed care, Internal Family Systems-informed interventions, narrative therapy, mindfulness, and liberation psychology to help clients move toward greater emotional freedom and alignment.

Whether you are navigating burnout, relationship challenges, trauma, life transitions, identity exploration, anxiety, perfectionism, or simply feeling disconnected from yourself, our work together will focus on helping you build a life that reflects your values rather than your survival strategies.

You deserve more than simply functioning.

You deserve to feel whole and you deserve to Heal, Rise & Soar!
