Dr. Amber Beal, LCPC

Hello, My name is Dr. Amber Beal! and I am Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. I describe my approach as eclectic. I approach therapy from a person-centered perspective, and I believe in holding clients in a genuine, warm, and empathic environment.  I believe in establishing a strong therapeutic alliance which is crucial for healing. Although my approach is person centered, my therapeutic interventions are tailored to fit each individual’s needs (CBT, DBT, talk therapy, EMDR, etc.). 

I grew up overseas and came back to the United States as a teen.  This gives me a unique perspective that fosters my openness to a wide variety of experiences that can impact our individual lives.  

I specialize in trauma, emotional eating, anxiety and depression.  I am trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and have a wide array of experience in psychological testing.  I have worked with clients from 4 years of age to 75 years of age and also clients with all different ethnicity, religious beliefs and gender identities.  

I believe clients have the power to overcome adversities, traumatic experiences and all experiences that may negatively impact their lives.  Sometimes, we just need that person who can walk with us, guide and support us until we arrive at a place of acceptance, healing, and wholeness and as your therapist, that is what I will provide!
