Where Individuals, Couples and Families Heal, Rise & Soar!
I’m Dr. Kimberly Lewis, known as Dr. Kim, a clinical psychology-trained therapist and behavioral health leader with 20 years of experience spanning direct clinical care, program leadership, behavioral health operations, community-based care, crisis services, and family-focused settings.
My experience as both a clinician and behavioral health leader has shaped how I understand people within the larger systems and circumstances that influence their well-being. Supporting individuals and families through trauma, behavioral health challenges, relationship concerns, crisis, and significant life circumstances informs my work with adults navigating life transitions, emotional well-being, relationships, and personal growth.
Grounded in trauma-informed care and cultural humility, I believe in seeing the whole person—their strengths, identities, relationships, and experiences alongside the challenges they bring to therapy. I approach this work with warmth, curiosity, and respect for your lived experience. Together, we can create a collaborative space where you feel seen, heard, and supported in defining what healing and growth mean for you.
Throughout my career, I have been committed to expanding access to meaningful mental health support for individuals, families, and marginalized communities who have historically experienced barriers to care. In alignment with Phoenix Rising’s liberation-centered approach, I recognize that healing includes making sense of the expectations, inequities, and systems that can limit our sense of possibility. I believe therapy can support you in reclaiming your voice, honoring your needs, and making choices that reflect your values.
At the center of my work is a genuine interest in people: your story, your strengths, what has shaped you, and who you are becoming. I recognize that family, relationships, culture, community, and experiences of power all influence how we understand ourselves and move through the world.
Therapy offers space to explore longstanding or generational experiences, recognize the strength you already carry, and develop new ways of relating to yourself and others. My hope is to support you in moving toward a life that feels more aligned with who you are and what matters to you—with room for restoration, connection, and greater freedom to be yourself so that you can Heal, Rise & Soar.
Area of Special Interest
Life Transitions & Identity: Navigating major life shifts, questions of identity, burnout, and difficult or unhealthy work environments.
Support for Women: Creating a safe space for women, survivors, and mothers to be seen as whole people with unique needs, hopes, and desires beyond the roles they carry for others.
Support for Men: Helping men safely explore emotions, relationships, identity, and personal growth without being defined by rigid societal expectations or coping stereotypes.
The Therapeutic Relationship
Dr. Kim believes the therapeutic relationship is foundational to meaningful change, wellness, and healing. Trust, safety, honesty, consistency, and the experience of being genuinely seen and understood create the conditions for vulnerability, reflection, and growth.
She approaches therapy with compassion, collaboration, curiosity, and deep respect for each person’s humanity. You do not have to suffer in silence or navigate life alone.
