My name is Lauren, and I am a Chicago-based psychotherapist passionate about mental health and holistic wellness. I believe that therapy is a powerful and sacred space for integration and transformation, and I look forward to holding this space for you!
I received my B.A. in Psychology from Clark Atlanta University, and my M.A. in Counseling from Northwestern University. I work with adult clients (21+) and specialize in anxiety, depression, stress-management, self-esteem, relationships, and life transitions. My approach is insight-oriented and strengths-based; rooted largely in Psychodynamic and Cognitive-Behavioral theories. As a practitioner of ancient and new age spirituality, I also offer Buddhist philosophy, meditation, astrology, and tarot as interdisciplinary tools of healing and wellness.
My treatment incorporates four major pillars: 1) establishing healthy coping skills, 2) trauma-informed psychoeducation and nervous system regulation, 3) introspection of the subconscious mind, and 4) behavioral activation towards self-actualization.
