Welcome to this space! A space created to encourage, empower and engage with those seeking mental health wellness through psychotherapy or coaching. My name is Chante Woods and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and also a Doctoral Candidate in Couples and Family Therapy. I grew up on the westside of Chicago in the Austin community and understand the unique experiences of being raised in urban Chicago. My social work career has involved working with individuals from various backgrounds. I have worked as a foster care worker with specialized teens, LGBTQ teens, group homes with teenage girls and pregnant and parenting teens, pre-natal social work in the Lawndale community, and several years as a medical and psychiatric social worker in a major hospital.  

Phoenix Rising is designed to be not only a Private Practice for mental health and mental wellness but a refuge for marginalized groups to seek competent behavioral health care from culturally competent, qualified and trained professionals. Care that takes into consideration the entire person challenging the narratives of society and patriarchy. 

Providers at Phoenix Rising are dedicated to the advancement, health and healing of each individual, couple and family that is being serviced. Each provider has unique qualities and skill sets, making it possible for us to cater the various concerns, complexities of life, symptoms and types of trauma that may be impacting someone and their family. 

*Chante does not see new clients, instead she focuses her energy on cultivating the Phoenix Rising team and others through Supervision and training. Chante will begin leading parenting groups and support groups in the near future. *
